Change is Coming!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m reaching out to let you know of my decision to retire as executive director of Recovery Café Longmont, a position I’ve held since the Café’s inception in 2018. For the past few years I have been struggling with several vision issues that have become increasingly challenging and are affecting my ability to fulfill my responsibilities effectively. Thus, my decision to pass the torch to new leadership.

I’m thrilled to share the news that Jen Jepsen will be the new executive director starting on July 1st. The board of directors is excited to welcome her in this new role and is confident her leadership and experience are perfect for the Café.

Jen graduates in a few months with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver, has extensive experience in human services, and a deep passion for our work. You may know her as a former Café board member and co-founder of the Left Hand Church in Longmont.

Jen and I are already working together to ensure the transition is seamless and she’ll start spending dedicated time in the Café beginning in April. I look forward to you meeting her!

I will continue to champion the work of the Café as what we do means so much to me. Words can’t express how much I’ve appreciated your support for and commitment to our work in the community.

Sending you endless gratitude and all my best,
