2026 is a year of newness at the Café – new classes in our School for Recovery program, a new interim Executive Director, a renewed sense of community and purpose as we set our intentions for the year, and of course, three incredible new Board members.
In December, we announced and welcomed Cathy Hawley, Claire McNulty-Drewes, and Stephanie Wilson as additions to our Board of Directors; we now offer you the chance to learn a little more about each of them and how they came to serve the RCL community.
From the start, the Café stood out to Cathy as a special place rooted in strong people and thoughtful work. Over the years, she has visited and supported the Café; as her availability grew, so did her interest in stepping in more intentionally to support the organization.
Cathy has jumped headfirst into being a member of the Board. Assisting on the Interim Executive Director search, she’s already proven herself to be an asset to our organization. She brings real-world experience in people leadership and executive hiring with organizations including Rocky Mountain People + Strategy Group and Path Forward.ORG. Cathy’s background is especially valuable as we navigate a leadership transition and prepare for continued growth in the years ahead.
You may have seen Claire around the Café – whether she’s bringing in a meal or popping in to say hello, she’s no stranger to our space or community. In fact, she’s one of the founders of the annual “Heart of Recovery” Thanksgiving Dinner!
Claire has over thirty years of experience in professional ministry, most recently as the Pastor at Heart of Longmont Church, and now serving as a hospital chaplain. Across her personal and professional time, she looks for ways to support people in recovery, seeing firsthand the difference community and care can make. She looks forward to continuing to be an ambassador for the Café and seeing how our community grows into its new space over the next two years.
Last but not least, we welcome another familiar face to our board – Stephanie Wilson. Since joining the community earlier this year, she has been determined to support the Cafe, exploring membership and serving on the Capital Campaign and Philanthropy Committees. Her experience in the Café provides her unique insight into the day-to-day functions, and the bigger picture that is the future at 801 Main St. As the organization grows, she brings a thoughtful lens on how to scale without losing what makes the community feel safe and human.
After spending her career at Access Graphics, Stephanie is an expert on helping organizations scale sustainably. With her background in process development, Stephanie is a strong addition to our Board of Directors, bringing a steady, people-first presence at a time when both care and clarity matter deeply.
As the Café becomes an organization ready to step into our new space, we are encouraged by the passion and dedication of our Board of Directors. Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, we know the support we receive from these incredible leaders and the community as a whole will be a driving force in this positive change.
Welcome to our new Board members!
